Mumford & Sons are contemplating a move out of London, England. And where are they contemplating moving to? The United States. Hell yes.
I need to find a way to calm down. As in right now. About an hour ago I was completely ready for bed, and exhausted. I made the mistake of realizing that it is past midnight, therefore, it’s Thursday, and also therefore, I will be seeing some of the most influential people I’ve ever known in my life tomorrow. Tomorrow. Oh god.
I need to find a way to calm down not only so I am somehow able to go to sleep, but also because I don’t even want to know what I’ll be like when I’m waiting outside Bullmoose before the show. I don’t even want to fathom it.
Okay, just think of…think of that cat gif where it’s so tired it can’t sit up…
It’s going to be a long night.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. I can barely contain my excitement!! :D:D
Life is just so good sometimes. This weekend is going to be one of the best weekends of my life. I know it. Here’s how it’s looking: this Friday I am going to the Scarborough Bullmoose in Maine to see a private concert of Mumford & Sons, in which they are only playing for 180 fans. Get this: it was only 5 dollars. How these private shows mostly go is that they mingle with everyone after the show is over, so there is an incredible chance that I could actually meet them that day. That means pictures, signings, dying and going to heaven…the works.
That’s Friday.
Now Saturday…holy shit. I get to go to Portland, Maine with one of my best friends to see Mumford again, along with Dropkick Murphys, Dawes, the Maccabees, Haim, Apache Relay, Simone Felice, and St. Vincent. The show starts at 2:00 pm, and goes till that evening. In addition it’s outdoors, there’ll be constant music, food, drink, and memorabilia for sale. Get this: throughout the time that other musicians are playing, the other bands take the time to come out into the crowd to hang out with everyone. That means that I could meet Mumford & Sons a second time. That means more pictures, and dying and going to heaven a second time.
That’s during the day time.
That night there are after shows. When the main show is over I’m going to an art gallery in which Ben Lovett himself will be doing a DJ set, and there’ll be more food and drink. That’s at 8:00. After that I’m going to another after party show at the Port City Music Hall in which the Tan Vampires (native to NH), and Aaron Embry will be playing. That’s at 9:00. During both of these events, again, Mumford & Sons are at some point stopping by to hang out. Yet again, that means I can meet them a third time. And yes, that means dying and going to heaven a third time.
Then once that is all over, my friend and I are camping in Portland, then heading home sometime the next day.
Holy shit.
This is without doubt going to be one of the best weekends of my life. As I said in my opening statement, I literally cannot contain my excitement. I have been hoping for over a year that I could see them live, and attend a private concert of theirs, and meet them in person. Well, looks like all three of those things are going to happen in one weekend. I am so happy, grateful, and blessed. Cannot wait!!
